Designing a Baby Thank You Card Online — Step-by-Step Help

1) Choose your format, size and starting design

Open the designer and pick the card type that suits how you want to say thanks. You can go postcard-style flat or a traditional folded card, with sizes including A5, A6, 148 × 148 mm square, and 5″ × 7″. The range leans photo-first, with single-image layouts, multi-photo grids and collage styles in classic, modern, cute, illustrated and floral looks—over 200 options in all. 2) Personalise the front…and go further inside and on the back

Upload your favourite newborn photo (or several) and use the built-in tools to crop, reposition and perfect the layout. Add or edit text boxes for your thank-you message, change fonts, tweak colour accents and freely move elements until everything sits just right. You can also personalise beyond the front: drop a printed message on the inside of folded cards, add an extra photo to the back cover, or include a scannable QR code that links to a private online album for a fuller update. Everything updates in a live preview, and you’ll receive a free digital proof before you commit.

3) Step-by-step: from first photo to checkout

• Pick format & size
  Decide between a flat postcard and a folded card. Then choose A5, A6, 148 × 148 mm square, or 5″ × 7″. Folded cards are professionally pre-scored for a clean, crack-free spine on thick stock. All stocks are uncoated and pen-friendly—handy if you want to hand-sign.
• Browse and select a template
  Explore the photo-led design library—single image, multi-image or collage layouts in classic, modern, elegant or playful styles. Start with whichever layout helps your photo(s) shine and sets the tone you want.
• Upload photos & build your collage
  Add your hero portrait or assemble a grid of tiny milestones. You can place unlimited photos, crop to fit, and nudge elements into place. Aim for crisp, well-lit images and avoid heavy filters for the cleanest print.
• Edit wording, fonts & colours
  Personalise your headline (“A little note of thanks”), add your baby’s name(s) and date of birth, and write a short message. Choose fonts and colour accents that complement your image; keep contrast high for legibility. You can add as many text boxes as you need and move them freely.
• Add extras: inside message, back-cover photo, or a QR code
  Want to keep the front minimal? Put a longer thank-you inside (folded cards) or add a second photo on the reverse. If you’ve uploaded lots of images to a private gallery, add a QR code so friends and family can scan and see more. There’s no extra charge to personalise inside/back areas or to include the QR code.
• Proof with confidence
  Use the live preview to check alignment, spelling and spacing. You’ll also receive a free digital proof. Because we don’t spellcheck, it’s worth a slow read-through or asking a friend to review. Prefer to see it in hand? Order a printed sample for a small fee before committing to the full run.
• Choose your paper stock
• House 350gsm: bright white, smooth-matt—great all-rounder.
• Premium 324gsm: lightly textured off-white Fedrigoni for a tactile, elegant feel.
• Photo Silk Touch 400gsm: bright white with a silky light sheen that flatters photographs.
• Super Thick 650gsm (flat cards only): double-ply, lightly textured, luxury weight.
  All are FSC-certified, uncoated and easy to write on.
• Print or digital—your choice
  You can order professionally printed cards (with matching premium envelopes available at checkout) or purchase a high-resolution digital download for DIY printing or instant sending. Both options include the same easy personalisation and proofing.
• Pick turnaround & delivery
  Standard production is 3 working days, or choose express 1–2 working days (order by 6 pm). Delivery options include DPD next-working-day (£5.95, tracked, signature) and Royal Mail Tracked 24 (£3.90). Sample packs ship by Royal Mail 1st Class (free). Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland need an extra 1–2 days. UK & Northern Ireland delivery only.
